Hi everyone,
We are introducing you to Andrija Sola - a former division 1 basketball player from Ontario, and one of our IBSA Coaches.
Andrija has a unique and amazing story that highlights the type of perseverance through adversity that we try to teach all of our athletes.
His journey, dealing with polycystic kidney disease, has led him to today where he is mere moments away from securing a transplant.
However, he needs our help.
From Andrija -
"My name is Andrija, and I was born with polycystic kidneys. I'm 43 years old, born in Hamilton, Ontario Canada. I've lost my grandfather, my uncle and my best friend/father to this terrible disease. I myself am now in kidney failure and have been on dialysis for the last 14 months and in urgent need of a kidney transplant.
I want to bring more awareness to this disease and help others who are fighting kidney failure realize they are not alone."
