We hope this will be a year of prosperity, good health and excellent basketball for all.

IBSA is committed to remaining the premier basketball coaching and development program in Canada. We continue to utilize proven techniques to help players reach their full potential in the game. With programs for all ages, we focus on the core principles of effective long-term athlete development. We also continue to craft new offerings and to hone our practice to keep up with the evolution of the game. We are committed to always putting development first. It is a methodology that yields results and we're happy to have you with us!

We were proud to finish 2024 with a significant donation to BGC Hamilton-Halton. Thank you to our Academy and affiliate club members for their generous support of this initiative. The wonderful Sara from BGC informed us that the donations were well-received and put to good use immediately!

Challa Motuma, our dedicated Lead Basketball Coach in Burlington, brings his passion and expertise all the way from Oromia, Ethiopia.

Challa’s journey reflects the power of basketball to inspire and unite, transcending borders and generations.

This year, we had the privilege of supporting a local basketball community close to Challa’s heart.

Recognizing their need for resources, we contributed new shirts and basketballs, helping to uplift and energize the players and their program. This small gesture of kindness embodies our belief in the transformative power of basketball—building confidence, fostering teamwork, and empowering individuals on and off the court.

At the IBSA Dream Foundation, we believe every community deserves the opportunity to thrive. Together, we can extend this compassion to more communities, making a difference one court at a time. Join us as we continue to empower through basketball, creating lasting legacies of hope and unity.

Our fall house league and 3on3 leagues concluded with our tournament of champions at The Playground, Burlington. It was a cold weekend but many players and their families packed into the gym for what was a great competition.

This celebration of sport has been a recent addition to our schedule and we hope the teams enjoyed the opportunity to face other teams from the region.

Congratulations to all our winners and thank you to all who participated, volunteered and braved the cold to join us!

I am looking forward to a year of transformation. Coaching is not just a job; it’s a calling that consumes every ounce of my team and without them IBSA would not be able to do what we do. To them I am ever grateful and thankful.
